IMPF co-signs call for a stronger EU strategy for music

9th February 2026

IMPF is a co-signatory of a joint statement from 23 organisations across Europe’s music ecosystem calling on EU institutions to adopt a sector-specific strategic approach for music in the future AgoraEU programme (2028–2034).  The signatories urge the EU to secure earmarked funding for music, reintroduce a dedicated sectoral action, establish a structured dialogue with the music sector, and strengthen sector-specific studies and enhanced data collection to monitor and analyse the sector’s trends and challenges. IMPF calls on the European Parliament and the Council to support a comprehensive EU strategy for music, backed by an appropriate budget, to ensure the sector receives the visibility, investment and policy recognition it deserves.
