Tony D. Alexander is co-founder, President and Managing Director of Made In Memphis Entertainment LLC (MIME). MIME is a Black-owned full-service entertainment group comprising MIME Publishing (an independent music publishing company that handles the copyrights of some of the most sought-after young producers in hip-hop and R&B); Heavy Hitters Music (a film, TV, and ad sync company with an all-female creative team and Emmy-winning music catalogue); Beatroot Music (a leading independent music distributor, as well as its subsidiary Beatroot Africa); and 4U Recording (a state-of-the-art recording studio brand with locations in Memphis and Atlanta). MIME is dedicated to developing and empowering diverse talent on both the creative and business sides of the industry. Alexander is a proud member of the Leadership Music Class of 2023, serves on the Boards of the Music Business Association (Music Biz) and the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), and is President of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) Atlanta Chapter. He has been featured in publications such as Billboard, Wired, Music Ally, Music Week, Pitchfork, and Memphis Business Journal. Annette Barrett has held the position of Managing Director at Reverb Music, one of the UK’s most successful independent music publishers, since 2001. During that time, she has worked with high profile and successful songwriters, including Nitin Sawhney, Jamie Hartman, Peter Gordeno, and Matteo Saggese. Following the company’s 2012 acquisition by New York-based independent music company Reservoir, Barrett’s role has expanded to include the pursuit of intercontinental opportunities for the company’s international roster, which now includes talented names such as Cutfather, Katie Melua, and Lucy Rose. Barrett began her career in music publishing 30 years ago, in the Copyright Department of UK-based independent music publisher, Carlin Music. She worked her way up the industry ladder, eventually to the role of International Director at Virgin Music. Over the course of her career, Barrett has signed and worked with a long list of world class songwriters and recording artists, including David Bowie, George Michael, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Madonna, Prince, Sting, and The Police, to name just a few. Even with such an impressive roster under her belt, Annette remains dedicated to the development and promotion of new talent, helping up-and-coming writers hone their skills and discover the markets that best suit their unique sensibilities. In 2020, she was elected President and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Independent Music Publishers International Forum (IMPF).

Her company, Brandworx, designs and manufactures custom clothing, accessories, product and provides manufacturing solutions to corporate brands worldwide. She has worked with Fortune 500 corporations and well-known brands, such as BMG, Panavision, Sony Music, Diageo, BMW, Mini, Coca-Cola, Polaris, Yamaha, NASCAR, Jack Daniel’s, Milwaukee Tool, William Grant & Sons and many many more global companies. Matt Biffa

In 2021, Matt, together with Ciara Elwis, won Outstanding Music Supervision at the Creative Arts Emmys for their work on Michaela Coel’s BBC Drama I May Destroy You. The soundtrack has been described by the New York Times as “stunning”.
Nicky Bignell

Nicky Bignell has worked in the UK broadcasting industry for over 30 years, specialising in music rights for television, radio and online. She currently negotiates the BBC’s blanket music licences, and is responsible for the BBC’s relationships with music industry bodies in the UK including the MPA, Musicians’ Union, The Ivors Academy, PRS for Music, MCPS and PPL/VPL. Bignell oversees a team of music rights experts who are responsible for music reporting, sync, clearances and contracting composers to write new music for the BBC’s output.
Matt Bolton

Matt Bolton has worked in music publishing for over 25 years, specialising in online rights for more than a decade. He has worked for a range of independent and major publishers including Universal, where he worked with online partners across Europe, Oceania and APAC. In 2018, he was approached by IMPEL to help move the organisation to independence and oversaw the significant growth of its membership. Matt joined ICE in 2023 and is responsible for Publisher Industry Relations.

Åsa Carild currently leads business development at Broma16, an international licensing hub that services CMOs, publishers and labels with multi-territorial licenses and direct royalty collection from DSPs. Broma16 also provides rights management and royalty processing powered by the Heaven11 tech platform. Prior to this, Carild served as CEO of Polaris, Head of Business Development at ICE, and Head of International Licensing at STIM. Carild was an entrepreneur in the gaming industry with the company Muchdifferent, and she previously managed Nokia’s Nordic mobile music venture. As a board member of SOM, the Swedish indie music producers’ organisation, Carild facilitated digital distribution for indie labels while simultaneously running the independent record company Exergy/Rothhändle Recordings. She has also conducted extensive academic research on the impact of digitalisation in the music business. Besides Broma16, Carild represents the SaaS platform Heaven11, focusing on expanding the company’s modern copyright database and data administration services, as well as royalty processing and distribution tools to the global market.
Ali Charrier

Ali Charrier-Rachidi is a seasoned music rights expert with over a decade of experience in music rights. Throughout his career, Ali has worked extensively with both independent and major publishers, as well as the renowned International Copyright Enterprise (ICE) before joining industry leader SACEM where he has served for five years. As Head of Online Partners at the French CMO for two years, Ali spearheaded the partnerships with SACEM’s online mandates. His primary focus areas include fostering customer and inter-society relations, overseeing operational management, leading technology initiatives, and cultivating collaborations with key industry stakeholders such as CMOs, DSPs, publishers, and members.

Indi Chawla is Head of International Relations for The MLC. Based in London, Indi is responsible for coordinating with international rights-holders to maximise the distribution of royalties, developing strategies for data validation and distribution, and helping to identify and address any operational challenges facing international members. Chawla’s profound impact within the international music publishing industry spans nearly three decades. She began her music industry career as a Royalty Assistant, and rose to senior management positions in major and independent publishing companies. Notably, Chawla’s tenure as the leader of Warner Chappell’s Global Copyright Team in London spanned close to a decade. As Global Copyright Manager, she implemented highly efficient and standardised registration practices across the company’s extensive network. Her determination and dedication were instrumental in successfully launching the company’s first enhanced rights management system module, cementing her reputation as a visionary leader in the field. Most recently, Chawla consulted for the world’s first integrated licensing and processing hub ICE and continues to contribute to international industry working groups with the aim of developing industry best practices around the management of music publishing data.
Claire Cordeaux

Claire Cordeaux is Chief Executive of the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine, a unique national medical charity that looks after the health of performers across the UK. With over 300 clinicians, BAPAM provides free health assessments to more than 3,000 individual performers annually and health and wellbeing education, training and resources about best practice in performing arts medicine. Cordeaux has a professional background in management in the UK NHS and, before BAPAM, was Global Director of an independent healthcare company. She is an active musician in a psychedelic celtic fusion band, and has supported a number of arts initiatives and festivals from youth music projects to running a boat stage to connect performers in coastal areas.

When Alexi Cory-Smith founded Bella Figura, her mission was to establish an artist-centric music company for the digital age. Investing in a portfolio of rights from the likes of Guy Chambers, David Gray and Lil Peep, all supported by a team of passionate music rights management experts, Bella Figura represents an entrepreneurial new journey for the lawyer and industry lifer, whose seven-year run as President at BMG UK saw annual revenue expand by 2,000% to £120 million. A lifelong fan of The Rolling Stones, one of Cory-Smith’s career highlights was signing the band to a global publishing deal with BMG.
Sue Crawshaw

Sue Crawshaw, founder of Pick And Mix Music, has worked across all aspects of the music industry over more than three decades. She started her career in music publishing and performing rights. 20 years ago, she founded Pick And Mix Music – a TV & Film creative company. As a music supervisor, she has worked on successful BAFTA and Emmy Award winning TV productions including The Crown Seasons 1 and 2 (Netflix), Behind Her Eyes (Netflix), Three Pines (Amazon), Strike Back Seasons 6, 7 and 8 (HBO/Sky), Origin (YouTube Red), and The Replacement (BBC). Past credits also include the BAFTA nominated Son Of Rambow (Paramount), He Kills Coppers (BBC), Raw (RTE) and Love Hate (RTE). Her most recent work in 2023/4 can be seen in The Reckoning (BBC), Who Is Erin Carter (Netflix) and Apple TV’s Still Up. She is currently working on Dept Q (Netflix) and the football game UFL.
Fred Davis

Fred is a Partner at Raine and Co-Heads the Music practice. Since joining the firm in July 2014, Fred has focused on both advising and investing across the global digital media/technology sector for high growth and earlier stage companies, including Chord Music, SoundCloud, Downtown Music, Quality Control and Moonbug. Fred divides his time between Raine’s London and New York offices. Prior to Raine, Fred was one of the three Founding Partners of CODE Advisors, where he worked with companies such as Spotify, Supercell, and Shazam. Before founding CODE in 2010, Fred was the founding Partner of the leading Entertainment/New Media Law Firm of Davis Shapiro & Lewit. Fred is on the board of directors of Firebird and SoundCloud, both Raine portfolio companies.
André de Raaff

André de Raaff is a veteran in the international music business. At 25, de Raaff became managing director at Warner Publishing Netherlands, followed by 10 years as President of Arcade, Europe’s largest independent record/publishing company.
In 2000, de Raaff founded CTM, which became one of the most successful independent entertainment music companies, now owned by de Raaff and his son Jitze. In 2008, CTM was one of the first power houses that started buying music rights, in cooperation with Dutch pension fund ABP. De Raaff succeeded in creating the world’s leading independent music publishing company Imagem in the shortest time ever in history – a groundbreaking and unprecedented achievement in music publishing. Imagem was subsequently sold to Concord in 2018 for more than $500 million. In 2014, de Raaff was honored by King Willem Alexander of The Netherlands as ‘Knight of the order of Orange Nassau’. As of 2018, de Raaff is a Board member of IMPEL in the UK, an international organisation of independent music publishers that collectively license their rights to digital service providers. In 2021, CTM created a new strategic alliance with Dallas-based Outlander, with the aim to invest one billion dollars during the next five years in both publishing and master rights.

Alvaro de Torres is a London-based, experienced professional with an intensive background in many aspects of the entertainment industry. He is skilled in music publishing, record labels, intellectual property law, management of authors’ rights, CMOs and digital platforms. He also has substantial experience in business development, licensing, contract negotiations, copyright infringement, catalogue valuation and acquisition, due diligence, and international music licensing for digital platforms. In recent years, he has worked with Meta, Warner Chappell Music, BMG and Warner Music.
Ole Dreyer

Ole Dreyer has worked as a music business professional since the early 1980’s. He entered the business on the local Punk-scene as a musician, but found his strength was releasing other people’s records. He has worked on all sides of the business since, from A&R, exploitation etc. at labels, to artist management and booking. He started as a music publisher in 1999, working for EMI Music Publishing until it merged with Sony in 2011. He rapidly created a partnership with others and formed Nordic Music NMS – an indie label and publishing company based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Dreyer’s main focus is still on publishing, working particularly in international exploitation and sync. Dreyer is the Chairperson for the MPA Denmark and has kept a seat on local PRO KODA’s Board since 2008.
Jane Dyball

Jane Dyball is a music industry veteran and strategic consultant. Formerly CEO of the £200m turnover businesses owned by the Music Publishers Association, she steered MCPS into financial recovery, paying down its £20m debt and overhauling its relationship with its owners, customers and service providers. In 2018, she won the Outstanding Contribution award at Music Week’s Women in Music Awards, in 2019 she won an Ivors Academy Gold Badge and, in 2022, the MPA Gold Badge.
Prior to that, Dyball spent over a decade running Legal & Business Affairs internationally at major publisher Warner/Chappell Music and was additionally responsible for international digital strategy, developing markets and public policy. Dyball is passionate about access to opportunity in the arts. She is Co-chair of Attitude Is Everything, Co-founder of the Primadonna Festival, a Trustee of Suffolk Artlink, and a mentor for tech music incubators including Abbey Road Red. She is a founder Advisory Board member for Music Tech UK and has a business transformation consultancy business, Laffittes Ltd.
Chantal Epp
Founder and CEO, ClicknClear
Chantal Epp is an award-winning entrepreneur and founder of ClicknClear. She set up her first company Synergy Sounds, a music production company for cheerleading, whilst at University. Following a period working in sync licensing, Epp found herself in a unique position to merge her two passions: cheerleading and music, following a lawsuit between Sony Music and a number of cheerleading operators. This led to the creation of ClicknClear to solve a global music licensing problem in performance sports worth $2.4 billion annually. Epp is still an active athlete and advocate for ParaCheer (disability inclusive cheerleading) and is often found travelling around the world helping national federations start teams as well as building ClicknClear into a global solution across multiple sports.

Matteo Fedeli
CEO, SIAE
Matteo Fedeli was appointed as SIAE’s CEO in January 2023. He joined the society in 2014, as director of its Music Division, and contributed to the digital transformation of the organisation within a constantly evolving market. Prior to that, he gained a strong management consulting expertise at Bain&Company, focusing on corporate transformation, post-merger integration and reorganisation strategies. He graduated with honors in management engineering and is a tech enthusiast and an ambassador for customer-centric approaches supported by a quantitative scientific methods.
Victor Finn
CEO, IMRO
Victor Finn is the Chief Executive Officer of the Irish Music Rights Organisation. IMRO licenses public performance, broadcast and online uses of music to over 25,000 business in Ireland and distributes these royalties to its members and to over 80 affiliates worldwide. Finn has a wealth of experience as former MD of MCPS (Ireland). A strong advocate for music creators, he plays a lead role in championing fair and balanced improvements to copyright law in the digital environment both at home and in Europe. Currently, Finn sits on the board of GESAC (the European umbrella body representing copyright management organisations) and on the Council of the IBEC Audio Visual Federation Under his direction, IMRO continues to develop its licensing and revenue generation activities including new contracts with radio, television, cable, satellite, and online service providers. Since joining IMRO, Finn has driven its strategic growth, delivering service levels that now make IMRO one of the most efficient collective management organisations globally.
Ibán García del Blanco

Ibán García del Blanco is a lawyer majored in cultural management and a former Member of the European Parliament. Before his election to the European parliament, he was the Executive President of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E). At the European Parliament, García del Blanco played an instrumental role defining cultural policies and AI. He was the S&D group coordinator on the Legal Affairs Committee (JURI) currently working on the Data Act, the AI Act and on an initiative report on virtual worlds. In the Culture Committee (CULT), he was the EP rapporteur on a report entitled Cultural Diversity And The Conditions Of Authors In The European Music Streaming Market. He was also co-chair S&D on the Cultural and Creators Friendship Group in the European Parliament.
María González Gordon

María González is co-managing partner of CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo and heads up the Industrial/Intellectual Property & Digital Business department. With over two decades of experience, she has provided guidance to both national and international clients on intellectual property, industrial property, copyright and technology, particularly in litigation and dispute resolution. Her particular focus lies in big data, AI, digital business, media and content, as well as the life sciences and healthcare sectors. Gonzalez Gordon is Co-Head of the global Digital Business subgroup of CMS and an active member of ITechLaw. She is a member of the Board of the AIPPI’s Spanish group (with particular focus on copyright); and a selected member of INTA’s European Global Advisory Council. She holds a number of additional roles at INTA, including being an INTA representative before the EUIPO Observatory.
Sania Haq

Sania Haq has over a decade of hands-on experience working within the South Asian music industry through BollyCo, a dance and entertainment company she helps manage. This is coupled with more than 12 years in research, seven of which she spent leading on AudienceNet’s music and entertainment-related work, working closely with clients such as the IPO, IFPI, Sony, UMG, Warner, Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube, the BPI and ERA, among others. Along with leading on research at the heart of industry decision-making, such as UK Music’s Music Creator Study and IFPI’s Global Music Consumer Study, Haq advocates for greater understanding of music and listeners from different cultures. Haq shines a spotlight on diverse artists and audiences, and was nominated for a Women in Music Award last year for her dedication to increasing South Asian representation in the industry. More broadly, Haq is an award-winning Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) practitioner and Cultural Consultant. In 2023, she set up Bye 2 Stereotypes, a brand through which she provides research, training and strategic support to organisations wanting to engage diverse audiences or address inequalities within society and the workplace.
Jamie Hartman

Grammy nominated, 4x BMI Award winner, 2x Ivor Novello winner, Brit Award winner, Music Week Award winner, 4x Music Business Worldwide A&R Awards nominee, and 2021 Oscar shortlist nominee, Jamie Hartman has written, produced, and performed hundreds of cuts in the pop, singer-songwriter, and dance genres. Working with a range of major label artists and top talent around the world, Hartman’s credits include tracks for Lewis Capaldi, Rudimental, Kygo, Backstreet Boys, Jennifer Hudson, Guy Sebastian, Marlon Roudette, Conrad Sewell, James Bay, Kylie Minogue, Parachute, Anastacia, Birdy, and Lena, among many others.
In 2023, Hartman collaborated with Lewis Capaldi on Heavenly Kind Of State Of Mind from Capaldi’s No.1 UK Official Chart album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent. He also co-wrote Rudimental’s Top 5 hit Dancing Is Healing with Charlotte Plank and Vibe Chemistry.
Andy Heath

Andy Heath CBE (born 1947) is a British music publishing executive. Having worked in the industry since 1964, Andy has formed two publishing companies of his own, Andrew Heath Music and Heathwave (a company still in operation today). He also formed a partnership with the Beggars Group in 1987 to create Momentum Music, a highly successful company that managed the publishing for Gary Numan, Cocteau Twins, Republica and Bauhaus, which he ran until its sale to Universal Music in early 2001. He remains a director of the Beggars Group (1991–present day) as well as running Beggars Music, the group’s publishing wing. He is also a director of IMPEL. Andy served on the Council of the Music Publishers Association (1989-2008 and President from 1993–97) and served on the boards of the PRS and MCPS. In January 2008, he was appointed Chairman of British Music Rights. When BMR was subsumed into UK Music in September 2008, Heath became chairman of the new organisation.

David Israelite
President and CEO, NMPA
David M. Israelite is President and CEO of the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA), a position he has held since February 2005. Israelite is responsible for overseeing all aspects of NMPA’s operations, from legal strategy and implementation to government affairs and advocacy. His leadership has produced revolutionary successes on behalf of publishers including the largest CRB rate increase in history, groundbreaking industry collaboration in royalty rate agreements, landmark settlements and model licenses with streaming platforms, and ultimately raising the profile of the publishing community. Additionally, Israelite was instrumental in guiding the effort to modernise copyright laws culminating in the Music Modernization Act (MMA) and the subsequent creation of the Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC). Israelite has been named on Billboard’s Power 100 multiple times and serves on the Boards of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Country Music Association and Special Olympics DC. He also serves as the President of the NMPA S.O.N.G.S. Foundation (Supporting Our Next Generation of Songwriters) which supports songwriters through funding scholarships and direct services, among other assistance. Prior to leading NMPA, Israelite held senior positions in various capacities for the US Government including at the Department of Justice where he served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Counselor to the Attorney General of the United States, and was appointed Chairman of the Department’s Task Force on Intellectual Property. He also worked in the US Senate where he was Administrative Assistant (Chief of Staff) for Missouri Senator Kit Bond. Previously, Israelite also practiced law in the Commercial Litigation Department at the firm of Bryan Cave, LLP in Kansas City, Missouri. Israelite earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri and his undergraduate degree from William Jewell College.

Golnar Khosrowshahi

Golnar Khosrowshahi is the Founder and CEO of Reservoir, an award-winning independent music company headquartered in New York City and with operations in Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, London, and Abu Dhabi. Established in 2007, Reservoir is the first female founded and led publicly traded independent music company in the US. Under Khosrowshahi’s leadership, Reservoir has grown to own and administer over 150,000 copyrights and 36,000 master recordings, with titles dating as far back as 1900. Khosrowshahi continues to lead the team in building a well-attended roster and an established catalogue, and regularly appears as one of Billboard’s Most Powerful Female Executives, as well as a Billboard Power Player. She notably earned a spot in Billboard’s Women In Music Hall of Fame in 2023, following her recognition as Executive of the Year for 2022. Khosrowshahi has been named Music Week’s International Woman of the Year in 2023, one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People In Business, Forbes’ 50 Over 50, among Inc.’s 2024 Female Founders 250 List, and to Variety’s New Power of New York, and Power of Women lists. Furthermore, Reservoir has twice been awarded both Publisher of the Year at Music Business Worldwide’s The A&R Awards and Independent Publisher of the Year at the Music Week Awards. In addition to her role as CEO of Reservoir, Khosrowshahi serves as a Director on the Board of the National Music Publishers’ Association, working to ensure fair compensation for songwriters and their representatives. In recent years, she combines her feminist research on the role of intellectual property in perpetuating the existing inequalities of women and gender-diverse musicians, with her activism at The F-List for Music CIC (UK), which is directed towards achieving intersectional gender equality in the music industries. Dr Potočnik is the research lead of the F-List Gender in Music Research Hub, an interdisciplinary collective of feminist researchers in music.

Cécile Rap-Veber holds a master’s degree in contract law and private international law and a certificate of aptitude for the legal profession (Capa) from the Paris Bar. A lawyer at the Paris Court of Appeals, she joined Universal Music France in 2000, where she was Director of Legal & Business Affairs, then Director of Universal Music Consulting & Content (UMCC) until 2013.
