Celebrating its 15th Anniversary in 2021, MAM is a leading global independent music publishing and consulting company founded in 2006 by industry veteran Mary Jo Mennella, one of the most well-known and respected rights administration and licensing experts in the industry. Music Asset Management joined IMPF in 2020 and Mary Jo Mennella is a sitting member of the IMPF Board of Directors.

Based in Los Angeles, the company provides best-in-class domestic and international copyright, royalty and licensing administration services to some of the world’s top songwriters, film and TV composers, music publishers and media companies.  With expansive worldwide relationships, MAM continues to be at the forefront of the digital landscape, helping top tier companies navigate and thrive throughout the evolution of distribution platforms in all media.

MAM’s expert team is entrusted to represent some of the most successful songs and scores in the world.  Songs represented in the catalog range from artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan, Kacey Musgraves, Patti Labelle and Aretha Franklin, to scores from leading composers Mark Isham and Miriam Cutler, to classics like “Route 66” by Bobby Troup. The company launched and exclusively served as administrator for the Pulse Music Group, sharing Publisher of the Year honors from the Association of Independent Publishers in 2018, until its sale in 2020.  In the past year MAM has also been busy licensing dozens of chart-topping hits by Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett (through MV2 Music), as well as representing new client signings Nash Overstreet and Shane Stevens (through Purplebeat Music).
